Highland Cattle Experiences, Hay and Seasonal Pumpkins

About Black Rock Farm

Black Rock Farm was established in 2017 when Jacob and his parents made the move from Middletown to Myersville, Maryland. From day one the farm was, and still is, focused on the production of horse quality hay. In 2023 the farm began to diversify as Victoria brought home two Scottish Highlands and grew the first crop of pumpkins at Black Rock. Next, 2024 brought the first on farm event and more hooves added to the herd. Presently, the farm is led by first-generation farmers Jacob and Victoria. Together they are making hay, growing pumpkins, raising Highland cows and connecting all of these pieces by opening their doors to their community.

Cattle

In addition to offering breeding stock, the farm hosts private “Highland Hangout Sessions” year round as well as monthly cow themed events. Livestock education and on farm experiences give you the ability to experience the operation first hand.

Crops

Black Rock Farm is also focused on bailing horse quality hay and growing pumpkins. The pumpkins are seasonally sold via a self-serve wagon and hay is available based on season and current stock. Hay is available in both square and round bales.
